On 18th January 2012, our lecturers and students from our Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management (PGDHM) visited one of the oldest theme parks in Singapore, THE HAW PAR VILLA (Chinese: 虎豹別墅). Together, the lecturers and students spent the entire afternoon at the HAW PAR VILLA understanding the theme park runs and operates its daily activities and how they market and advertise this tourist attraction, as part of their project and assignment.
Our lecturers gave the students a guided tour to various popular attractions in the theme park, such as "the Ten Courts of Hell exhibit" and "The Journey to The West". The students were also given a mini history lesson about Haw Par Villa, its glorious past and how this theme park is currently being marketed.
