It's first time in the history of School D’Hospitality that we are going to launch SD’H Magazine, which is our very first online magazine. This is the magazine for the students of SD'H and by the students of SD’H. This is the common platform for the students of SD’H to share and express their views, thoughts and knowledge with others. Another purpose of launching this magazine is to keep in touch with SD’H Alumni and to provide them with the knowledge of the latest news and events of the school. The magazine would also provide the students with the opportunity to express their talents while pursuing their respected courses side by side. Students will have the opportunity to work in a multicultural team for creation of Impression.

Activities

1- When we started our interest club we presented some slides about introduction of the Impression magazine in a road show. After that we discussed with students and conveyed them the benefits of this project. Then some students joined our club.

2-To decide our group according to their convenience we conducted a meeting and invited our club members by email. In our first meeting we discussed about ‘what to write and how to write’, and gave some suggestions about article writing. We provided clarifications to their queries. In this meeting we appointed our officers and decided their works and responsibilities

Taste Buddies Club

The Taste Buddies Club aims to promote friendship and camaraderie among like-minded students of SD’H who are fond of Singapore food. The club is the first of its kind established in the history of School D’Hospitality. With the able leadership of Sridhar Nandipati, a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management student at SD’H, the Taste Buddies Club is able to form membership from different SD’H programmes and from various nationalities. Activities include hanging out occasionally in F&B junctions and restaurants in order to just enjoy the multi-cultured and the variety of food available in Singapore.

Chat Room at SD'H

Chat Room at SD'H aims to bring people from different countries with different cultures together to communicate,create an international network, share experiences and learn from each other. The members meet fortnightly, talk about our cultures, recent events in Singapore, help and give advice, make new friends with common interests.

Beach Activities Club

Our interest group, Beach Activities Club, organise events at the beach for members of BAC and staff of the school so that you can relax and have fun at the same time. Playing games, chatting, taking photographs and exploring the beach and nearby areas with your friends at the beach together results in a great time after a long school week.

The club aims to arrange more activities such as swimming, tug-of-war, sand-making designs competition, frisbee and beach volleyball.
