After working in the hospitality industry for a couple of years I knew that it was time to take the next step. I decided to study event management and found an advertisement of School D’ Hospitality. The programs are structured in a way that allows me to focus on one subject at the time and leaves no room for confusion.

The school has a great location in the middle of Singapore. It’s small and after just one week you know everyone and everything. You are an individual with a name and not a number which easily happens in bigger schools. As I mentioned, the size of the school is to everyone’s advantage. The atmosphere is very friendly and “family like”. The teachers are extremely experienced in the course subject and know exactly what they’re talking about. Interaction with students is a daily event and very much appreciated. A international country gives an international crowd which also applies for schools. By studying with different nationalities I learn so much more. The students respect each other’s differences in religion and culture.

I would recommend School D’ Hospitality to all students that wants to open doors in the hospitality industry in the future. To study in this school is just as enjoyable as living in this city.

I enjoyed my time in School D’ Hospitality very much. I found the faculty and staff to be very kind and helpful whenever I have needed assistance.

The other students at School D’ Hospitality have been helpful, and many of the assignments given require team effort. This has allowed me to make many new friends during my short time here in Singapore. There are many interesting activities for students that also allow each student to meet others outside their own course of study. As a native Filipino myself, the varied mix of cultural backgrounds in this “international” school, allowed me to better understand the lifestyles of other students.

The programs offered a well rounded education in the field of Hotel and Hospitality Management. The school has very good class room environment with lecturers that make the class enjoyable as well as a very positive learning experience.

I would highly recommend School D’ Hospitality to other students who are considering pursuing education in the field of Hotel and Hospitality Management in Singapore.

“What I like most about SD’H is that the course really challenges you to do your best as a student. You are stretched to your maximum potential, with the help of the lecturers who really make sure that all the students understand the lessons clearly.

The practical lessons as such hotel operations are very useful, as they help us in gaining field experience before we head out to the working world. I was able learn quickly at the restaurant due to the intensive practical lessons that SD’H has provided us with.

My learning journey at SD’H has certainly broadened my experience and allowed me to gain valuable practical skills and confidence. Thanks SD’H!”

SD’H has equipped me with a set of indispensable skill sets that are required for the working world. Every module in SD’H requires us to make presentations, manage group projects and assignments.

Through this rigorous learning process, I have learnt the importance of   teamwork and inter-personal communication in ensuring the success of a project.  The numerous presentations have also helped to build up my confidence in public speaking and hone my presentation and articulation skills.

One of my fondest memories of SD’H are the lecturers there. All of them are very patient, helpful and personal. In fact I feel that they also play the role of our guardians and parents – as they go out of their way to ensure that we learn, develop and progress – both professionally and personally.
Looking back, the decision to join SD’H has been a correct one, and through this learning journey, I look forward to facing the working world with renewed confidence and better career prospects.

SD’H has been a wonderful experience. I’ve learnt so many things during this course of journey which I think are invaluable experiences.

Through SD’H, I have made wonderful friends from all around world – who have shared my ups and downs with me.
After going through the course, I feel that I’ve developed both professionally and personally. SD’H focuses on ensuring that students like us are well grounded in our foundation courses. This equips us with a set of useful skills for the corporate world. At the same time, the school has helped us secure OJTs which I think are invaluable opportunities. In fact, I feel that my career prospects have increased tremendously after all this grooming and guidance.

I have become a more confident and articulate person who is ready to take on the challenges of the corporate world.

What really impressed me was that our lecturers were really good in that they had a firm grasp of what they were teaching.  Very often, they spoke from their vast  industry experience and gave us many examples to relate to so we could better understand the lesson.

Unlike my past encounters at private schools, the lecturers at SD'H are actually pretty strict with students. Previously, the lecturers I came across didn't bother much about our attendance and progress. However, the lecturers here ensure that we keep up with lessons and provide us with their constant guidance. This keeps us constantly on track and spurs us to work hard to achieve our best.

They further displayed their dedication when they tapped into their extensive industry links and networks to source for OJT opportunities for us, which led to my OJT at Ah Yat Restaurant

One of best points of SD’H is its lecturers. The lecturers who have taught me are the best I have encountered. They are not only clear in their delivery, but also very helpful in ensuring that we understand all the concepts presented. All of the them guide us with patience that I find to be very useful and encouraging especially for foreign students like us.

I have made many close friends at SD’H who continue to be my support network even after graduation. The student community at SD’H is so diverse as all of us are from different countries – yet it is this diversity that makes it so interesting for us to learn about each other.

SD’H has taught me to be more confident of myself, especially when facing interviewers and networking. More often than not, it is these soft skills which help us to differentiate from other interviewees. I definitely feel that my career prospects have increased tremendously after this course. Furthermore, with the OJT and advanced diploma that I will be pursuing later, I am confident that my career prospects in the hospitality sector will be great
